Canberra Region Presbytery Wellbeing Minister

With pleasure, we share the news of the appointment of Rev Elisabeth (Liz) McMillan as our incoming Presbytery Minister Wellbeing. Liz will move to Canberra from Victoria in December and will move into her role following the retirement in November of the Rev Dr John Squires.

Liz is a Minister of the Word, who has served in four placements over nine years in the Vic-Tas Synod, including two placements as a Presbytery Minister. In addition, Elisabeth has served for four years as Resource Development Officer for the Vic-Tas Synod.

Elisabeth is keen to work alongside colleagues to form networks, aiming to enthuse the next generation for leadership enhancement. Elisabeth has a particular interest in enabling, supporting and training lay leadership, and indicates a strong interest in establishing new worship communities along with assisting individuals and groups to work through difficult issues.  She values the role of supportive peers, weekly team meetings.

Liz is clearly gifted for this role in our presbytery. She has a passion for pastoral ministry and brings with her a rich experience as a pastor to pastors in Victoria.
